Teeth whitening is the most demanded cosmetic service. Investing in a better smile will enhance your overall appearance and boost your confidence. So why not try a few simple tips to have whiter teeth and a radiant smile?

The basis of having a brighter smile is to start with an excellent oral hygiene routine. Brush your teeth twice per day for about three minutes, and floss!

Go dairy!

Eat lots of dairy products as it contains a lot of calcium. Calcium restores the strength of the enamel. For coffee and tea lovers, add cream or milk as it will deter it from staining the teeth.

Activated Charcoal

Who might think that one method of having whiter teeth involved using a black substance? It turns out activated charcoal is a famous element for a brighter smile. It is an absorbent matter and makes it easier to remove yellow stains. It also adjusts the pH in the mouth.  Put some charcoal in your toothbrush and lightly brush your teeth. Make sure to spit the charcoal after finishing as ingesting the charcoal might cause constipation and block mineral absorption. Use this technique once per week to guarantee a brilliant smile!

Baking soda

The simplest form if you want to whiten your teeth naturally is with baking soda. It supports a healthier oral pH and removes stains. This method should be done once or twice per week. Doing it on a daily basis might make your teeth more sensitive. Take the baking soda and put some on your toothbrush. Brush your teeth for about 1 minute.  Let the baking soda stay inside your mouth for about 30 seconds. Spit out and rinse your mouth. Brush and floss your teeth as usual. If you have sensitive teeth or don’t like the taste, there are several other ways to get whiter teeth!

Turmeric

Another recipe to remove stains lies in a very special spice: turmeric. It carries many health benefits such as is having antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It also alleviates a tooth’s sensitivity and removes plaques. To try this technique, take 1 tablespoon of cold-pressed organic coconut oil and 1 teaspoon organic turmeric. Mix both ingredients until it becomes a thick paste. Brush your teeth with the mixture to get whiter teeth. Turmeric can be used to brush your teeth twice or three times per week. It’s time to go turmeric shopping!

Oil pulling

One of the most natural ways to stronger and whiter teeth is oil pulling. Oil pulling is an ancient traditional method for oral detoxification. It consists of swirling coconut oil around your mouth. Coconut oil reduces tooth cavities and eliminates bad breath. It also contains antibiotic and antiviral properties that will get rid of all the bacteria, keeping your enamel and gum stronger. Oil pulling should be done in the morning on an empty stomach. Take two teaspoons of coconut oil and put it in your mouth. The process is similar to a mouthwash; swirl the oil around your mouth for fifteen-twenty minutes. Spit the oil and rinse your mouth with warm water. This approach does not replace brushing or flossing in any way so make sure to brush your teeth after. By removing stains and keeping your gums healthy, oil pulling will guarantee you whiter teeth!

Avoid certain Drinks

Several factors will prompt to having stained, yellow teeth. One example is consuming drinks such as coffee, wine, and tea. These beverages are acidic and wear out the enamel. They also stain the enamel, leaving your teeth yellow. The key to having whiter teeth is avoiding these drinks at all cost. If you are a big coffee, and tea lover, add some milk to reduce the effects of stain.

Quit Smoking!

Another element that will engender yellow, weak teeth is smoking. Smoking prevents blood flow, and weakens the immune system, leaving the mouth defenseless against bacteria. The tobacco wears the enamel and is one of the main causes of gum bleeding. About one-sixth of smokers have poor dental health. Smoking weakens your teeth and makes them yellow. Some smokers are even reported to have brown teeth. The key to whiter teeth is smoking less!
